Blog Conception

The blog before you is a collaboration between four individuals who, after much debate, have desired to comment on the world of television-specifically four genres. These are science fiction, comedy, drama and children’s television, as our combined logo demonstrates. While this is the function, comment should also be made on form. Form that until the time of this posting, has been hard to decide on due to ‘break’-that’s the world of uni for you.

The form, we decided, was something that should be visually recognisable-and not something that was a static nightmare that butchered the layout. The retro tv, nestled in its corner, would provide easy recognition of the blog’s function even without the title (which provides explanation nonetheless). The colours, as they stand, don’t clash with the background and the text colour (orange to navy blue) was changed so that it was easier to read. The image above shows the rough outline, colours and their boundaries at this time of conception, though change to this outline is still a possibility.

Since different shows are aired on different days, it is unlikely that overlapping will be an issue.
