The Simpsons

Tonight's episode of The Simpsons found Marge and Homer having a dinner party at their home. The Van-Houtens - Millhouses parents had a massive fight in front of the guests. The dinner party ended with Lou-Ann (Mrs Van-Houten) screaming "I want a Divorce" and storming out with Millhouse dragged behind. The rest of the guests leave right behind her and it leaves Marge and Homer discussing the situation. True to form Marge feels guilty and sad for the Van houtens and Homer doesn't really have any feelings at all about it. However after Homer spends some time with the newly single Kirk (Millhouses Dad) who has just lost his job at the cracker company because management believe that only married people eat crackers. Homer states that the best thing to keep a marriage together is not to take it for granted. Homer goes home to find that Marge is not there and then suddenly becomes paranoid that his marriage is falling apart. He begins reminiscing about his wedding to Marge at "Shotgun Pete's" and having a reception at a fast food restaurant with a cake that says "to a whale of a wife" (because she was pregnant). This convinces him that he is a no good husband and goes directly to get a divorce. When Marge arrives home Homer calls her into the lounge room, as she approaches the lights come on and cheers from family and friends and Homer asks Marge to marry him again. Marge is flattered and states there is no need for them to get married again and that she loves him and being married once is enough. Homer replies by telling her they have to because he got them divorced earlier. The episode finishes with everyone happy and cheerful and Marge stating that it was the best wedding ever.
